WHY IS CBD OIL AND COCONUT OIL CONSIDERED A MARRIAGE MADE IN HEAVEN?

WHY IS CBD OIL AND COCONUT OIL CONSIDERED A MARRIAGE MADE IN HEAVEN?

Coconut oil is well known for it’s amazing effects inside and outside the body. So for the readers purposes I am going to skip over list out all those amazing benefits and get to the information you may not be familiar with.

Because of the way that CBD acts in the body, it has many potential uses and health benefits. CBD oil is taken orally, rubbed on the skin, and sometimes inhaled through vapor or used intravenously to produce its effects.

BENEFITS OF CBD TOPICALLY

Because we are a skincare company, we are going to focus directly on topical use and will not be covering the other potential benefits of CBD in this particular article. CBD itself is a powerful antioxidant, meaning it protects the skin from free radicals like UV rays, smoke, and environmental pollutants. Free radicals lead to wrinkles and fine lines, but antioxidants protect our skin from this damage and help fight the effects of aging.

Additionally, because cannabinoid receptors are located all throughout the skin, CBD has the capability of interacting with those receptors to encourage homeostasis and healing. Studies show that CBD can help treat an array of conditions related to the skin. Atopic dermatitis, also called eczema, has been shown to improve after treatment with hemp oil.

CBD FOR SKINCARE

A 2013 study published in the British Journal of Pharmacology found that CBD controls cell proliferation and differentiation, indicating it can be used in treatment efforts for skin diseases like allergies or cancer.

CBD oil contains an array of other essential nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fatty acids, to encourage skin health. Vitamins A and D are responsible for skin repair. They support skin cell growth and inhibit oil production to help keep skin soft and supple. Like CBD, Vitamins C and E are antioxidants and protect the skin’s collagen and elastin against damage from the sun and free radicals. B complex vitamins serve as part of the construction process for skin, hair and nails to prevent dermatitis, hair loss, and other skin conditions. With all that said, there is nothing but upside to use CBD in skincare products. Mix CBD with the already well known skin nourishing effects of coconut oil and we got a marriage made in heaven. CBD likes to attach itself to a saturated fat like coconut oil (90% saturated fat). This saturated fat allows the oils to be absorbed into the area more quickly. So when targeting skin treatment and relieving discomfort to a particular area, the hope is it will absorb much faster, thus treating the area very quickly.

CBD TOPICALLY: FASTER AND MORE FOCUSED EFFECTS

Using CBD Topically you are applying the oil directly to the trouble areas allowing CBD oil to work just where it’s needed most. Ingesting CBD products orally is elicits a very effective option, but the delivery time frame is slower. Orally causes CBD and other compounds to enter the blood stream, which provides a full-body effects and takes up to 2 hours or more before those oil is dispersed throughout the bloodstream and effects are experienced. Using CBD topically, the healing compound and other hemp-derived nutrients are almost immediately absorbed directly through your skin, allowing them to be target the affected area for quicker and more focused effects. This is particularly beneficial for targeting rashes, warts, moles, skin cancers, and even muscle or joint pains.

NATURAL PAIN RELIEF OR ANTI-INFLAMMATORY PROPERTIES

Over the counter drugs and prescription medication are well known for helping to relieve pain, stiffness and even chronic pain. There has been more attention to using CBD Oil because of the many people reporting that CBD offers a more natural solution to reduce pain and discomfort. A study published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine found that CBD significantly reduced chronic inflammation and pain in some mice and rats.

The researchers suggest that the non-psychoactive compounds in marijuana, such as CBD, could be a new treatment for chronic pain. CBD is already widely in use for some conditions that cause chronic pain, such as multiple sclerosis and fibromyalgia. This is another reason we have decided to combine our coconut oil and CBD oils in our muscle relief cream. We want the coconut oil to help CBD absorb into the area faster to help reduce and pain or discomfort in that particular area.

ACNE

CBD can adjust the output of oils in the skin and hair and inhibit skin cells’ lipid production, making it effective for preventing acne. A promising topical use for CBD is as a treatment for acne. Acne is caused, in part, by inflammation and overworked sebaceous glands on the body. A recent study posted to the Journal of Clinical Investigation found that CBD helps to lower the production of sebum that leads to acne, partly because of its anti-inflammatory effect on the body. CBD could be a future treatment for acne vulgaris, the most common form of acne. Many small-scale studies have looked into the safety of CBD in adults and found it is well tolerated across a wide dose range. There have been no significant central nervous system side effects, or effects on vital signs or mood among people who use it either slightly or heavily.

The most common side effect found is tiredness. There were some people that reported diarrhea and changes in appetite or weight. There are still very little long-term safety data, and tests have not been carried out on children as of yet. As with any alternative treatment option, you should discuss CBD with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using it.
